Creating and fostering relationships with other shelters and foster homes* is an ongoing task that can very well assist in making progress towards the animal welfare goals of a shelter.

Shelter and foster home communities can communicate to provide and distribute resources and support between each other during daily operations and emergencies. Shelters can connect by introducing themselves/the organization…

• Through social media

Introductions can include letting them know about the organization, what services the organization provides, and how to contact a selected staff member or the organization for future collaboration. Collaborations are not limited to a local area either; they can be international as well!
